What is Community Health?

The goal of the Community Health Program is to increase the general health of the Band population by delivering:

  • Education/care for expectant mothers and their families to ensure a healthy baby;

  • Care for infants/preschoolers including regular check-ups, immunizations and counseling;

  • Support and education for those living with chronic disease;

  • Education on nutrition, diabetes and overall health;

  • Follow-up/education about communicable disease;

  • School programming including check-ups, as well as immunizations.

  • Healthy Living and Prevention Counselling

Dietician

  • Nutritional counselling for acute/chronic conditions

  • Health promotion programming (ie: cooking classes, community garden, etc.)

Sexual Health Program
