As an EMR within Onion Lake Cree Nation you will have the opportunity to expand your role and provide essential services to the community. You will play an important role as part of the OLHBI Health Services team by providing pre-hospital care for patients including assessing, treatment and transporting; applying best practices to provide direct, competent, safe and ethical care to those in need. On the job orientation provided, 7-day in/ 7-day out work schedule; accommodations provided while on shift. Uniforms and boots provided each year. Annual license renewal fees and medicals covered by organization.
Reports to: Program Manager
- Function in full scope as an EMR in the ambulance and in the clinic setting.
- Perform and document readiness checks of the ambulance and equipment.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Respond to both emergent and non-emergent EMS-related calls.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Current registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the EMR level.
- Hold a current Saskatchewan Class 4 Drivers License.
- Current BLS-CPR Certification; Current ITLS Certification.
- Be physically fit and able to perform EMR duties.
- Driver’s abstract in good standing.
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
