The Medical Transportation is seeking Casual Drivers. The Drivers will be responsible for transporting clients to medical appointments. Hours will vary; drivers will be scheduled or called in as needed and be required to sign a short-term casual contract.
Reports to: Program Coordinator
- Ensure clients safely get to their appointments on time.
- Make sure that the units are well maintained; fueled up; fully stocked roadside kit & First-Aid kit; security cameras on and free from obstruction; cleaned out at the end of every trip.
- Assist clients with all their needs, including carrying bags, assisting in and out of the vehicle, assisting with seat belts, and other items as required.
- Make sure all CMA’s (Certificate of Medical Attendance) are signed by a Nurse/Physician and collect all information needed from the clients for our records.
- Follow all rules of the road. No eating or texting while driving; no secondary roads permitted.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage (s) to any of the units while on duty; circle checks before and after every trip.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Clear Driver’s abstract, Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Class 4 Drivers License Preferred.
- First Aid & CPR Certification an asset.
- Able to drive for long periods of time depending on the trip requested.
- Confident to drive after dusk or any road conditions

Good overall physical health and be able to provide a clear medical if needed; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
