What is Community Health?
The goal of the Community Health Program is to increase the general health of the Band population by delivering:
Education/care for expectant mothers and their families to ensure a healthy baby;
Care for infants/preschoolers including regular check-ups, immunizations and counseling;
Support and education for those living with chronic disease;
Education on nutrition, diabetes and overall health;
Follow-up/education about communicable disease;
School programming including check-ups, as well as immunizations.
